Worthington Christian Schools, as a ministry of the Grace Brethren Church of Columbus, Ohio, was established in 1973 and is chartered by the Ohio Department of Education. WCS is one of the few schools in the state to be accredited by both the Association of Christian Schools International and the North Central Association. Worthington Christian Schools offer exceptional Christian education for birth through 12th grade.

Our Early Childhood Center (ECC) serves children from birth through Kindergarten, Powell Elementary for 1st through 3rd grade, Westview Elementary for 1st through 5th grade, Middle School for 6th through 8th grade, and High School for 9th through 12th grade.

The goal of the Worthington Christian School is to educate children in the light of God’s Word, and to prepare them for a life of service to God, to His creation, and to their community. Worthington Christian School consists of grades K through 8. Music, through singing and band are offered, as well as sports where the students compete with other Christian schools in the area.

Worthington Christian School serves Kindergarten through 8th Grade Students In The City Of Worthington. This City Is Part Of The Nobles County. As an elementary school, this institution has the opportunity to introduce the concept of a formal education. A Calvinist religious affiliation is present at this school.

Worthington Christian School is a non-denominational school and currently has 50 families involved, with a total of 76 students. The staff consists of 5 full time teachers and 5 part time employees. There are 13 different church families being enriched here at W.C.S. Worthington Christian School consists of grades K through 8. Music, through singing and band are offered, as well as sports where the students compete with other Christian schools in the area.

Worthington Christian is a member of Christian Schools International (CSI). CSI serves schools united by a common commitment to providing a Christian education, which is directed by the Word of God.

The Enthusiast

Each month W.C.S. publishes a newsletter entitled, “The Enthusiast”. It is usually printed and distributed at the beginning of each month. These are distributed in churches that have students in our school. These may also be mailed to individual homes as well. If you are not currently receiving a copy of this letter, please call the school office and we will add your name to our mailing list. Articles for “The Enthusiast” should be turned in by the 20th of the preceding month.

Chapel

An important part of the spiritual and educational program of Worthington Christian School is the chapel assemblies program. Chapel services are held every week, usually on Friday mornings, and special assemblies are planned throughout the year.
