Christian Boarding Schools VS Public Schools

Do you fear your teens are receiving a less than adequate learning experience in public schools which do not condone teaching religious concepts? Are your Christian teens getting a negative experience in public schools due to having to learn about concepts in science which your religion does not agree with such as when the earth was started? Is your teen receiving bad grades by refusing to do reports on subjects which your religion does not agree with? Maybe your teens get a lot of mental abuse and criticism from other students for being Christian, or sexually abstinent, or maybe there is just too much pressure on your teen to have sexual relations, try drugs, or question the faith. If any of this is true then maybe Christian schools are the best options for your teens.

What are Christian boarding schools?

A boarding school is traditionally a school which keeps teens or children for over a long term of time. The schools are typically a normal school with multiple different sections of buildings with many different rooms for students to sleep these are called boarding rooms, hence the name boarding school. In a boarding school the students receive a more focused educational experience with students who share a like background in this case it would be following the Christian faith. In boarding schools traditionally the students do not just receive an education, they also attend group sports, clubs, charity services, and much more.

There are three different types of boarding schools which are sometimes based on the Christian faith, day boarding schools, weekly boarding schools, and the traditional grade 9 through 12th 4 year boarding school.

o Traditional boarding school is a school which takes in students who stay there for long periods of time typically only returning home over a few month vacation once or more a year, this would usually be the summer vacation time but varies between schools. These schools are good for teens that cannot stay out of trouble or away from bad influences without 3rd party interference and need constant supervising by more than one individual.

o Weekly boarding schools are sometimes an alternative option in a normal long term boarding school, although there are boarding schools which only run on a weekly basis. Weekly boarding schools only have the students stay during the weekdays and the students are released home on weekends. This is good for kids or teens that need an education away from their home community distractions but want to be able to still see their families on a regular basis.

o And lastly day boarding schools are schools which board students long term, but also provide an alternative option for students who would like to attend the school, but want to be able to live with their families. They would only attend the school during the day time and go back home at night; the only catch is the day students would only receive a fraction of the entire boarding school experience.
