The term “military high school” can be quite self-explanatory. It’s almost the same as a private high school, except that it follows after a military tradition. The purpose of this is to get the best of what military academies have to offer and apply this on high school students in order to help them develop important values such as camaraderie, nationalism, discipline, and responsibility, among others.

The public school system of the present day is not entirely equipped to handle troubled teens. Parents sometimes turn to military schools to discipline and educate their troubled teenagers. Military schools are generally privately owned and operated prep schools modeled after United States military colleges and universities. Military schools have been around for decades and were the answer for many parents who had teens who were defiant, failing in school and abusing drugs. Military schools were popular because they inculcated two foremost characteristics that parents sought for their children: structure and discipline. It seems as if military schools are back in style.

Most people have already heard about Military schools and they associate it with delinquents who need a lesson on respect and probably a slap on the wrist or two. People also seem to expect too much from military schools in terms of their rehabilitating and correcting potential, a mistake that can cause more problems for parents and their children in the long run.

There is a fundamental rule when joining the boot camp. Shut Up and Listen. In other words do not speak unless your instructor speaks to you. Your drill instructor will do anything to test your mental discipline. Swear on you or your family and attacking your integrity. Most recruits do not understand that this is actually a trap that the drill instructor sets. Do not fall into it. Do not send your instructor to hell.
